While I was perusing the online challenges this evening, I came across this one at Wet Canvas. It is one of the photos for the May colored pencil challenge. I love a close cropped still life. I’m really tempted to just do this in ink. I Think that I am going to take some time with this one and post my *WIPs as I go along. Maybe I’ll even get it done by the end of the month deadline.
*Wip – Work In Progress
MMMM, Garlic. We had spaghetti for dinner tonight. We have all of these cloves of wonderful, fresh garlic laying around and I didn’t use any of it in the sauce. I guess we’re saving it for when the vampires come around. But I do love the smell of fresh garlic while it sizzles in the pan!
I love this picture. I look forward to seeing what you do with it. I believe it will cause you to push the darks. I also belive this would be a great gift for a proud mom. lol
What would you do with it if you had it? You are rapidly running out of wall space with the grand babies, quilts, and “The Wall of Honor.”
New wall “The Artistic Biker” at new house! I also think you should try 100% cotton for your “canvas” and permanent inks.
Funny you should mention that. I spoke with the printer today and we should have some Artistic Biker sketch pads available by the end of May. Not an official announcement, mind you. But there will be two sizes 4.5″ x 5″ and 4.5″ x 6″. They will also come in three different papers: 100# blend Strathmore,140# 100% cotton Strathmore, and 140# 100% cotton Arches. There will be pictures at the official announcement here. Of course, there will be samples around the Sunday dinner table too. :)
