The little girl and I have a busy day planned of cruising The Hobby Lobby and The Home Depot before we come back to a belated Christmas dinner.

Today started out EARLY as Girl2 and I walked to the cafe for breakfast. They had a couple of new people so things took longer than normal. We had to hurry because this was the morning of my drawing class for the arts council.
We had 14 kids turn out for drawing class and we had a BLAST! When it was over they all wanted to know when we could do it again. I don’t know, but .I can hardly wait for it.

Daddy-Daughter Breakfast 25FEB2012
Wholly Crap did we have breakfast early that morning! Â Girl2 had her first soccer game of the season at 9AM Saturday, and the fields are an hour away. Â That means we had to go to breakfast and get back before 7am so we could get changed and leave by 7:45. Â So at 6:15 we were standing outside of our usual breakfast cafe only to discover they had changed their hours. Â Now they don’t open until 7. Â UNHAPPY FACE! Â Anyway, since we’re not cry babies, we walked back home and got in the truck in search of another cafe. Â THEN, just as we were about to get to the soccer fields, a train STOPPED on the tracks in front of us! Â Luckily we noticed it happening in time to turn a block away and circumvent that sucker. Â We still made it to the game early enough for warm ups! Â I know that’s not as exciting a story to the rest of you, but for us, it’s a pretty big accomplishment.
