    Making a God's Eye

Ever wonder what this studio stuff is all about? It’s SPECIFICALLY for stuff like this. When you buy t-shirts, prints, memberships, or just send donations, “like” or share a post or video, you help keep the doors open for programs like the CAAC’s First Saturday Arts Program. http://wp.me/p35GcN-14

  • The Artistic Biker Lets Fly His Kilt

    Let Fly the Kilt

We’ve had storms all week all over Oklahoma.   I defiantly wave my kilt in the air at them! Poking a bit of fun at the weather, is all.  The area where I live and the area where I work are almost always right on the edge of the storms as they pass through with minimal damage.  Not everyone is that lucky, and the relief efforts for those communities will continue for a very long time.  You can help by using your phone and texting “STORM” to 80888.  That will charge a $10 donation to the Salvation Army against your cell phone bill.

On this week’s easel we had the sexy, red-headed DarcyW (http://art-and-sole.blogspot.co.uk), and The Mighty Jay (http://moon-light-creations.webs.com).

Since I changed up some of my video hardware and software, my cameras all face the right direction.  I was actually rotating the video to continue showing them in the upside down format.  But a quick vote resulted in overwhelming support of the upright format from now on.  So, upright from now on it is.

  • Daddy/Daughter Breakfast 01JUN2013

    Daddy/Daughter Breakfast Sketches

This was the start of a VERY long day for me & Girl2!  I had been at the studio until 2am, went back to the studio at 6:30, and went to take the little girl to breakfast at 9:30.  We talked more than we drew or even ate.  She was very excited to be working the gallery event that night.  The art’s council First Saturday Kids were in the studio in the morning so we ran errands all morning.  Then we cleaned up and set up the studio for the evening event.  She put her dress on, her heels, and her earring (she only has one ear pierced).  She played hostess the whole evening and even played tambourine while Boy2 kazooed with our guitarist.  By the time she got into bed at 11p, she passed out with a huge smile on her face and didn’t wake up until after 10 the next day.  It was a GREAT day for us.

  • The Artistic Biker Does The Paseo Arts District

    Paseo Arts District

This week was the last session of the Leadership Arts program I have been involved with. Part of this week’s class was to tour the Paseo Arts District near downtown Oklahoma City. The biggest part of discussion during the show was about how rows of galleries look to non-artists.
What’s On Your Easel this week featured Jay the Viking (http://moon-light-creations.webs.com), The Sexy, Read-Headed DarcyW (http://art-and-sole.blogspot.co.uk), Artist Poet Girl (http://mypurpledoorstudios.blogspot.com) and Charlie Brownie.

You may have noticed that one video short  is right side up and there is one just like it done in the normal style. Use the “Thumbs Up” and the comments to vote on which format you like best. That’s what we’ll do from now on.
