Stonehenge came out of the Random Object Randomogrifier today, so at 5:30 in the morning I put pencil to paper and blocked in that familiar shape.

Today’s random object turned out to be a harp seal, and at first glance, it was just a little white blob on the page.

This morning’s random object turned out to be the Storm IV Twin-Pod Cloud Car from The Empire Strikes Back. At first glance it looked like a pair of wooden shoes, maybe even Mickey Mouse’s shoes, but in reality it was one of those background ships that only appeared on screen for a moment.

Every morning at 5:30am, I pull a toy from the Randomogrifier and see what kind of sketching adventure it sparks. Today’s draw was a tiger shark, though the toy looked more like a striped great white. That’s the fun of it, it doesn’t have to be scientifically accurate, it just has to get me drawing.

Today’s random object was an orange kitten. Cats have always had a knack for showing up in our lives, whether in paintings, history, or curled up in our laps, and this little model was no exception.

Good morning came early with Sketch and Coffee, and today’s random draw turned out to be a battleship.
