Art Journal Tribute to Boy2

Ustream screen capture

Boy2 has learned to strip out of his clothes. Not just stand there and wiggle them off, no no. That boy can run from one end of the house to the other carrying a nectarine and be naked before he gets to the other side.  He discovered that he can stand naked under the water dispenser on the front of the refrigerator and let the cool water run down his NEKID body.  So, I dedicated a page to boys being boys, including some photos emailed to me by @godsgirl4you.

Art Journal Staycation!

I took the week off to have a little “cos-play” as a professional artist. I got some building maintenance done, some painting done, I met with gallery owners and other artists. I’ve had a great week, but it was still a “staycation”. So, this is a tribute to me beating the searing heat during my staycation.

Art Journaling at Oasis

I’ve really been digging the phone book paper collage thing lately so tonight, I did the background in colored phone book pages.  I really like seeing the print coming through the paint!

Art Journal Farewell to The Space Shuttle

screen capture from the ustream

I did what has to be my fastest page ever as I did a journal entry dedicated to the final space shuttle launch. The 115F dry weather had the paint drying in seconds instead of minutes, even without the hairdryer! Then to kill some time I did a cartoon gremlin, a quick studio tour and played with the babies. There’s a spray paint moon and space background, a painted sun and earth, and a collaged shuttle Atlantis. We also had a brief visit from @TheAmpleGoddess. It’s always a joy when she brings her family to the studio for a visit.

The Artistic Biker Does Technology

screen capture from the ustream show

After a week long bought of fighting with my gremlins I was finally able to get online with both of the high end cameras.  Only to be knocked offline as soon as we got into the show!  I saw the Blue Screen Of Death more times in the last week than any normal person should ever have to.  Anyway, my technology woes inspired this week’s page The Blue Screen Of Death.

Also:

I’m trying something new with the youtube.  I’ve had a lot of people tell me that Ustream is not very intuitive AND they  have a hard time watching a TWO HOUR recording there. Many can watch YouTube from the comfort of their TV rooms now and so I have edited the stream down to an hour long show and posted it on You Tube.  Let me know what you think of it!
