Tips & Tricks 08JAN2012

January 8th, 2012

Last week’s tip of using ammonia to reclaim acrylic brushes that had been left with paint to dry got several comments back that Murphy’s Oil Soap works very well.  I have not tried that, but I appreciate the feedback!

This week’s tip comes from Jerry’s Artarama: When you want to make thin, straight lines in your work, use a pizza cutter.  That sounds fascinatingly simple to me so I’ll have to give it a shot.  Do you have a tip for making thin straight lines?  Let me know and I’ll share it with everyone else.

A treasure troll of a man, with hobbit feet and a sharp pointy head. You may see me traveling up and down the highways of Oklahoma looking for the next place to sketch, paint, sing, dance, write, photograph or simply meditate. I have begun a journey that once set upon, there is no turning back. You can share in my blunt force journey through the art world on my weekly U-stream broadcast
