A Brief Note 01JAN2012

buy Lyrica usa Hello Peoples!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Ugh, I’m sick of saying it already.  :)

I hope that everyone who celebrated made it home safe and sound.  We had a small gathering at the studio.  Everyone was so wrapped up in their art, we ended up not noticing the new year until it was midnight in the NEXT time zone.  I did automate a “White Rabbit” tweet so at least I got that out there.  Most notably, however, I began 2011 arting, I ended 2011 arting, and I started 2012 arting.  Seems like a pretty good streak to me.

I can honestly say there was absolutely NO progress made on the studio this week.  Between family commitments and a day job that I feel responsible to, I never really got away many daylight hours to get anything done.

This time of year we are ALL severely limited on fundage so we may be building with used pallets.  If you would like to help with that, you can go to artisticbiker.com and look for the DONATE button on the right side column and donate what you can.  If you can’t do that, please share this newsletter with everyone you know to help get the word out.  That helps more than you know.  Or better yet, purchase Lurasidone  Click Here to Join! artisticbiker.com/membership and help promote the arts in rural Oklahoma.

If you have any announcements you would like made in the newsletter or tweeted about incessantly, drop me a line and I’ll toot your horn for ya.  ;)  There were no announcements this week.

This week’s password: beginning

The Classroom site is http://www.ustream.tv/channel/oasisgalleryok

Drawing Class: The Eye – Tuesday night 6pm central.  A one hour class is a bit short to go into complete portraiture.  It’s a little in depth for a beginners class also.  However, we can run through the components of a face a little at a time.  This week, I’ll talk about basic eye structure, detail, and shading.

Painting Class: Composition – Wednesday night 6pm central. As we kick off a new year, let’s kick off with a new painting and discuss orienting a design on a surface.

The past classes are moving into the Pay-per-view side of ustream and on artisticbiker.com as well. $2 lets you view them online at Ustream, $5 lets you download them at artisticbiker.com, and a $10/month membership gets you unlimited downloads from the site.
