This week, the little girl was focused on drawing a birthday present for a party this afternoon.  She’s really excited about it being a sleep over. I’m not really hip on her being gone for the night, but she’ll have fun.

With all the other things going on, Bryan’s upcoming show, leadership arts, commercial recordings, and trying to incorporate as 501C3, I still have three canvasses going that desperately need attention.  Virginia has really been helping flesh out the Artist’s Guild idea we’ve been working on.  I think 2013 is the year that things are really going to come together for us.  That or I’m  gonna set fire to this #&$%@#$&%*@# and quit blowing my family’s vacation money.  :-)

This week’s page centered around Hot Check Thursday.  For those of you who are independently wealthy, Hot Check Thursday is the day BEFORE payday.  It’s an extremely risky gamble of waiting until after 4pm and writing checks hoping that your direct deposit paycheck will hit your bank before the checks are processed.  Yay!

Our weekly breakfast was preempted this week so the kids could spend Friday night with Granny & Grandpa.  My beautiful young bride and I went to the Norman, OK, Second Friday Art Walk, and then stayed up past our bedtime watching Iron Man III.

By Sunday afternoon, after all the Mother’s Day dining, things were back to normal. Girl2 saw some kids out playing and called to them. Next thing I know, there’s a chalk art festival on my front porch. THAT’S awesome living right there, folks. Awesome, indeed.

We got to sleep in a bit today as the little girl’s soccer game isn’t until later this afternoon. But it also means we had a little extra time visiting before thebfood arrived because the restaurant was PACKED. I loved the time but she almost lost her mind with hunger. My little hobbit child has to eat 8 times a day, you know.

This week, the Oklahoma weather is once again trying to kill us. Between the hail, tornadoes, thunderstorms, freezes, and mild sunny days, welcome to spring. My friend and I went for a walk and practically had to hold onto each other to keep from blowing away. That’s when I said, “it’s a good thing we’re not wearing kilts.”
He said, “I don’t know. The breeze could be fun…”

If you didn’t see it before, i wanted to show off this eagle I painted before he’s gone.  This one was painted for a dear friend of mine and I hope she enjoys it for a very long time.
